RVTX Gets "Censured": Know The Facts

Updated February 4, 2026:

At the February 3, 2026, Montgomery County Republican Party’s County Executive Committee (CEC) passed a resolution condemning the Republican Voters of Texas PAC for allegedly conducting “deceptive” electioneering through the use of the language “Republican Voter Guide” and by making endorsements in the Republican primary. The resolution cites party bylaws and the Texas Election Code as justification.

What the CEC failed to address entirely is that other outside PACs are doing the exact same thing.

The Montgomery County Tea Party PAC has distributed a voter guide using the identical language, prominently featuring “Republican Voter Guide” and “Montgomery County,” while openly endorsing candidates in the same primary. Likewise, the True Texas Project has published a detailed endorsement list naming specific candidates across the ballot. Yet neither organization was mentioned, scrutinized, or condemned.

This selective targeting is blatant hypocrisy and appears to be clear retaliation to single out one organization while giving a free pass to others engaging in the same conduct.

If the stated goal of the resolution is truly to protect the Republican “brand” from alleged misrepresentation or voter confusion, then fairness and consistency demand that all outside PACs using this language and making endorsements be treated equally. True transparency does not operate on a double standard.

Even more telling, while the CEC rejected a motion to explicitly include the Montgomery County Tea Party PAC in the resolution, the language of the resolution itself is unambiguous. It states that “ANY” organization that uses this language and endorses candidates in a primary is therefore condemned. By their own wording, the resolution inadvertently condemns the very groups they chose to ignore.

This is yet another example of the Montgomery County Republican Party CEC picking winners and losers, enforcing rules selectively, and using party authority not to unify Republicans, but to target those they disagree with politically. If integrity and fairness are truly the priority, then the rules must be applied evenly or the credibility of the process is lost entirely.

During this same CEC meeting, it was voted to authorize the use of $15,000 to attack our PAC. This money was used for postcards and banners placed at the polls. These signs and postcards falsely accuse RVTX PAC of “deceptively claiming to offer the official GOP voter guide.” Below is our voter guide used in the March 3, 2026 primary election. We will let you be the judge if this voter guide claims to be the “official GOP voter guide."

These tactics continue to steer focus away from the real job of the Republican Party. At a critical moment, just weeks before early voting, party time, energy, and resources are being misused to fight fellow Republicans instead of doing the work voters expect: turning out the vote, supporting grassroots efforts, and building unity. When internal power struggles and selective enforcement take priority over winning elections, the entire party suffers. Republicans deserve leadership focused on advancing shared values and electoral success, not distractions that divide and weaken us from within.

June 2019 Resolution To Censure RVTX PAC

Have you ever had something used against you over and over to discredit you? Sling half-truths, leave out key facts, and weaponize the narrative? It happens to the best of us, especially in the world of politics.

Republican Voters of Texas PAC is exactly what it says: a PAC (Political Action Committee). We were founded in 2018 out of a genuine love for our community and a desire to promote COMMON SENSE Conservatism in a political climate that was increasingly lacking it.

In response to our freedom to form a PAC, a small faction of Montgomery County Republican Party precinct chairs voted to censure us for using the word Republican in our name. Pretty absurd, right? Republicans being condemned for using the word “Republican.”

About that Resolution…

In June 2019, at the Montgomery County Republican Executive Committee meeting, just 22 members of an almost 100-member committee narrowly passed a resolution condemning Republican Voters of Texas PAC. The resolution claimed the Party “condemn[s] and denounce[s]” our PAC and demanded we “cease and desist” using the word Republican.

Here's the full story:

1) IT WAS A SURPRISE RESOLUTION

It was NOT submitted two weeks in advance as required by the rules. No notice. No transparency.

2) IT WAS STRATEGICALLY TIMED

The vote took place in June when many precinct chairs were on vacation. Only 46 attended. Of those, 22 voted in favor, 15 opposed, and 6 abstained.

3) It attacked lifelong Republicans by name.

The resolution falsely charged our PAC with “supporting Democrats.” An absurd allegation against lifelong Republicans with strong conservative roots and voting records.

4) It claimed we could not use the word “Republican.” A claim with zero authority behind it.

5) The author of the Resolution?

Jon Bouche, who at the time, was a candidate running for Republican County Chairman.

This action was immediately reprimanded by County Chair Dr. Wally Wilkerson AND by State Republican Chairman James Dickey, who both affirmed that the Montgomery County Executive Committee had no authority to determine who may use the term “Republican" but this reprimand was ignored.

Chairman Dickey reiterated publicly that the word Republican is free for use and protected unless someone is infringing on registered trademarks.

It’s bad enough that County Executive Committee ("CEC") meetings were tied up with this kind of nonsense instead of focusing on the real business that moves our Republican Party forward.

But the misinformation didn’t stop there. This small faction took the "RVTX has been CENSURED by the Montgomery County Republican Party" narrative and ran with it, even spending money to print signs and place them at polling locations.

And if history is any indication, we fully expect to see those same yellow signs in the March 2026 Primary, once again trying to mislead voters. These antics aren't productive. It only takes the focus off the REAL goals: turning out the vote and supporting our Republican candidates.

At the end of the day, FACTS MATTER and nothing good will ever come from Republicans attacking Republicans.

Need-to-Know Extras

Censure

A severe, public reprimand of an official. While it does not remove someone from office, it creates the appearance of wrongdoing and is often used as a political weapon.

The Current Problem: Divisive Tactics Harm the Party

In recent years, the CEC (made up of the County Chair and 113 Precinct Chairs) has become increasingly focused on:

  • Passing divisive resolutions

  • Attempting to remove people from office

  • Slandering qualified Republicans

  • Imposing ideological litmus tests

  • Promoting far-right mandates

  • Censuring elected officials for not obeying their agenda

  • Endorsing candidates despite not being a PAC

This behavior weakens the Republican Party and confuses voters.

We Need Strong, Common-Sense Conservative Leaders

Montgomery County needs:

  • A strong County Chair who will put people over politics

  • Precinct Chairs who think for themselves and put Montgomery County voters FIRST.

  • Leaders who want to grow the Republican Party

  • Conservatives who care more about voters than political games

  • A commitment to unity, fairness, and integrity

RVTX is dedicated to being a trusted source for political information in Montgomery County. Our goal is simple: Give voters the facts so they can choose the best Republican candidates without manipulation, intimidation, or misinformation.

Working Together: The Only Way to Keep Montgomery County Red

The success of the Montgomery County Republican Party and our ability to keep our county red depends on a CEC that works together, follows the rules, respects voters, and stops weaponizing internal processes.

A strong Republican Party requires:

  • Transparency

  • Collaboration

  • Respect for diverse conservative voices

  • A commitment to putting people over politics

Montgomery County’s future depends on Republicans who are willing to do what’s right, not just what benefits a select few.

We appreciate every Republican voter who takes the time to learn, engage, and support the efforts to strengthen our Party. The future of Montgomery County depends on informed voters, not power-hungry factions.

Together, we can ensure that common-sense Conservatism remains strong in our community.

Together, we can keep Texas RED the right way, through truth, integrity, and unity.
