Addressing False Claims Made By The Montgomery County Republican Party

Truth, Trust, and Responsibility in Our Community

During the March 3, 2026 Primary Election cycle, the Montgomery County Republican Party published an article on February 18, 2026 claiming that Republican Voters of Texas PAC (RVTX PAC) was formed by Commissioner Charlie Riley’s campaign team.

That claim is simply false.

RVTX PAC was formed in 2018 by a group of Montgomery County conservatives who share a deep commitment to faith, family, freedom, and the future of our community. From the beginning, our mission has been straightforward: educate voters, research candidates and issues, and encourage citizens to engage thoughtfully in the political process.

RVTX PAC has no connection to Commissioner Charlie Riley’s campaign or campaign team.

Unfortunately, inaccurate statements such as the one published during an election cycle do more than misrepresent a single organization. When false information comes from individuals or institutions entrusted with leadership in our community, it creates confusion and undermines trust. Voters depend on accurate information to make informed decisions, particularly during the critical period of early voting when many citizens are actively seeking guidance and researching candidates.

Trust is the foundation of any healthy political community. When that trust is eroded by misinformation, everyone loses. Voters begin to question the credibility of the institutions meant to serve them. Neighbors begin to doubt one another’s intentions. The political process becomes less about ideas and service, and more about suspicion and division.

That is not the kind of political culture Montgomery County deserves.

At RVTX PAC, we have always taken transparency seriously. Our endorsement process has been clear and consistent since our founding. Candidates do not contribute to RVTX PAC until after our vetting process has been completed and endorsements have been determined. This policy exists specifically to protect the integrity of our process and to ensure that our recommendations are based on research and conviction, not financial influence.

Claims suggesting otherwise are simply not true.

If there had been any confusion about RVTX PAC or our operations, the solution would have been simple. Our contact information is publicly available on our website, and we have always welcomed open communication. A single email or phone call could have clarified these facts immediately.

Instead, incorrect information was published at the start of early voting, precisely when voters are most actively searching for reliable information to guide their decisions.

That choice is deeply disappointing.

Political disagreements are normal, and debate over ideas is healthy. But those disagreements should be grounded in truth. Our community deserves leadership that values honesty, accountability, and respect for the voters who ultimately decide the direction of our party and our county.

Since 2018, RVTX PAC has remained focused on encouraging informed voters and thoughtful civic engagement. We believe the Republican Party belongs to the voters, not insiders, not factions, and not those who attempt to control the narrative through misinformation.

The strength of Montgomery County has always come from neighbors who care about their community and who want to preserve the values that make this place special.

Moving forward, we can and we must do better. Our community deserves honest dialogue, respectful debate, and leadership that prioritizes truth over tactics.

That is the standard RVTX PAC will continue to uphold as we work to serve our neighbors and support an informed electorate.
